Business: Store (Sade)

Story

Arriving in about 1887, Antoney and Debe Marion Sade/Saede were among the early Syrian/Lebanese immigrants to Australia. After spending time in Sydney, Brisbane and then Western Queensland, they returned with their three children to Brisbane in about 1909 and opened a store at 113 Breakfast Creek Road Newstead. Antoney died in 1927 and Mary continued to operate the mixed business for at least another twenty years.
